As a part of our practical discipleship, we are offering Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. This course is designed to teach good money management skills, to help people learn how to get out of debt, as well as how to save money.
- Approximately 70% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, regardless of their income. This means that “broke” has become the new normal in our nation.
- At the end of the month, many individuals simply have nothing left because of debt and expenses. If this is you, I’ve got good news. You are not alone.
- You may be sitting there wishing you could get more financial margin in your life. If you’d like to take control of your money, then listen carefully.
- As a church, we want to share a practical plan that can help you discover God’s way of handling money. We want to empower you to get on a budget, get out of debt, save for the future, and take control of your money.
- Financial Peace University is that plan. This 9-week class taught by money expert Dave Ramsey can change your financial story in a matter of weeks—and your family tree for generations to come.

Sunday Afternoon Women's Study will be Stronger by Angela Thomas. It's a 7 session video study with homework. We hope to begin the last Sunday in February (Sunday, February 28th, 2016). Please read the below description of the series found on Lifeway.com:
"Through biblical teaching and practical daily application, Stronger will help you realize you do not have to live in weakness. God is stronger than every struggle you will ever face. Because of Jesus Christ, your life has been hidden in Him, made alive in Him, filled in Him, brought near to God in Him, and blessed with every spiritual blessing in Him.
As we have received Christ Jesus, we are now called to walk in a manner worthy of Him. Strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in so great an inheritance. Today, because of Christ, you can live stronger. This study will guide women into biblical truth through exposition and story, so they live confident, transformed, Christ-radiating lives marked by His strength."

God has big things in store for the 2016 year and one of those will be the International Mission Trip to Puerto Rico! Eight youth and four adults will be embarking on this journey on June 26th through July 2nd.
While they are there, the youth will be participating in several different areas of ministry including:
- Building Relationships: They will be able to trade stories with everyone they meet, they will learn about Puerto Rican life beyond the resort walls, and they will have the opportunity to share the promises of Life in Christ.
- Kids Ministry: They will have opportunities to get to know and impact children and families in the community through Vacation Bible School. They will work with a local missionary to plan songs, games, arts and crafts, and Bible lessons for children in the barrio (village) near their host ministry, Camp Caribe.
- Community Outreach: There might even be opportunites to help with manual labor in homes in the local community.
- Camp Ministry: We will work with Camp Caribe on the beach in Juana Diaz, supporting the ministry as they provide local children the opportunites to have a weeklong adventure and VBS camp experience most cannot afford. It will be an incredible opportunity to build on the investment and simple friendships they will make with the children in the barrio thorugh VBS and their time spent there!
This is what a sample day will look like while they are there: (The times may vary, but this is typically what their schedule will look like)

They will be hosting several events with local organizations and restaurants in the community to help supplement the cost and they are also working on personal fundraising as well. The biggest contribution that you can make is your prayers!
- Pray for the preparation of the trip
- Pray for the people in Puerto Rico that their hearts would be opened and ready for when they get there
- Pray for the youth going that the Lord would speak to them thorugh this experience
If you have any questions or want to get involved, please do not hesitate to get in contact with Steven Quackenbush.
